Im not one to brag but I recently wrote an appreciation email to my favorite blogger of all, Andrew Sullivan, and he wrote me back! Saying it was a "wonderful letter" I am so happy! I know it could have been one of the interns or something but I believe in him and am so glad I finally put into words how much I like his work.

In other news, the constant overcast sky (four days now!) from the smoke and flames (in CA) as makes me think apocalyptic thoughts. As some one I know who agreed said "I see it and I think 'oh this is what a nuclear winter looks like, or an asteroid impact . . ."

I just think of a world without the sweet songs of birds like in the book "Silent Spring" and I get very sad. . . But you gotta keep doing your things you know. . .
